What is intense pulse light (IPL) and how does i-Light work ?
IPL - (Intense Pulsed Light) is a recognized technology that has been used around the world for over 15 years. i-Light uses this technology to generate intense pulses of light on the skin. The impulse reaches beneath the skin surface to the hair roots and inhibits their growth.
The energy of the light pulse is directed towards dark colors; best results are achieved with darker hair. Light pulses may have a (harmful) effect on dark skin, therefore i-Light should only be used on light to medium skin types (I-IV) .
What can you expect from i-Light?
The results are not immediate and are not the same from person to person. In most cases, you can notice hair reduction 1-2 weeks after starting the treatments. During this time, it may appear that the hair is still growing, but it is actually being "pushed out"
Hair grows in three different phases that last 18-24 months . Only hair in the anagen phase of active growth is susceptible to treatment - therefore repeated treatments are necessary. It is important to follow the full treatment plan so that all active hair is treated with the device.
